How Much Do Fags Cost In Your Country?

I don't smoke, but I know a lot of people who do. In England, people could pretty much go bankrupt if they don't watch their wallets! Plus the fact that they will die of a form of cancer if their not careful.
A pack of 20 is about £4:50, and I think £3:50 of that is tax. I don't know how much that is is USD, and other currencies worldwide, but I'd be interested to know how much they cost compared to here.

In Australia you're generally looking at $10-$15 for a pack of twenty.

I smoke the expensive fags. Just bought a 20-pack of Benson & Hedges Lights this morning: 80 rupees.

That converts to about 1.50€ or £1.01 or $1.85.

Actually a pack of 20 Marlboro Lights in London is about £5.20. In Thailand its about £0.80. I wonder how much cigarettes cost in the USA - somewhere in between I reckon.

Here in Luxembourg it's EUR3.30 (still cheap for most of Europe even though prices have been recently raised) for a pack of twenty. The last time I was in Austria it was something like EUR3.80 or so.

LOL, I'm not a cheap fag honey.

But as for cigarettes, smokes, stoges, it costs me about $4.10 here in OKC.

BTW, what does everyone smoke? I smoke Parliament Menthol Lights. I really like the hard, recessed filter. All the other brands seem to soft once you get used to Parliaments.

A pack of cigs vary by state due to taxes and "other" fees. In Washington, they're getting close to $7 a pack. That's the main reason I gave it up. Money, smoking places in airports are disappearing and now where to go but outside, and health, the most important reason for quitting.

Smoking is nasty.... not to mention bad for you, AND as we can see very costly... I think here (Maryland/DC/Northern VA) a pack of cigarettes will run you about 6 dollars.... so if ur a smoker...go to North Carolina where it's still cheap. lol

Sometimes I smoke Marlboro Lights Menthol as well but usually I smoke the regular Marlboro Lights.

In Germany I have to pay 4 EUR for a pack with 19 smokes and 5 EUR for a pack with 24 (don't ask me why we have 19 instead of 20 and 24 instead of 25 in the packs).

Like JetJack mentioned, in the US it varies state to state. Right now in Maryland they're close to $6/pack of 20. But parts of Virginia you can get them cheaper. I wonder how much money I'd save if I didn't smoke? Nah, too depressing to think about. I'm sure someone will say, philosophically, a pack of fags will cost you your life.

Here in Quebec, you generally buy fags in packs of 25. They cost around about $7 Canadian which equates to about 3 British pounds.

I do smoke unfortunately, and have to say I don't really like Canadian cigarettes. Give me a nice pack of Camel Blue any day. You can get Camel here, but they're about 10 dollars a pack.

Oh, I'm awake, I'm just avoiding this like the plague! Too much leeway for easy innuendo and cheap shots....

like, "well, on 10th street at the old Krystals you could get 'em for $20 a shot!" or "at Backstreets they're free!"

See, too easy and cheap! Plus local humor might not translate well.
