Here we are on the eve of the last TdF to include Lance Armstrong. Will he go out on top with win number 7? Will Jan Ullrich finally beat LA in his last chance to do so. Will one of the talented Spanish riders Mayo, Heras, Landaluze, rise to the occasion? Perhaps Basso will show his true form. What of the other Americans in the field? Can Leipheimer or Landis rise to the occasion with limited team support in the mountains? Julich is showing signs of the form that put him on the podium a few years back. Will someone emerge from the shadows and steal the show? I know I've left out many other contenders so feel free to add to the list. I think that in reality the most interesting part of race will be the battle between the Discovery Channel and T-Mobile superteams. Theses two teams are stacked like no other team in recent history and are reminiscent of La Vie Claire in 1985 and 1986. The battle between them will be pivotal in determining the overall winner. It should be one hell of a race. What do you A.net cycling fans think?
Also, is anybody here playing the fantasy le tour 2005 game at cyclingnews.com?

The questions have been answered. Lance will win his 7th TdF in 2005 and go out with a bang. What an inspired ride by Zabriskie! Ullrich just didn't have it today and with his performance in the mountains of the Tour de Suisse I don't think he has any chance at overtaking Lance Armstrong who is obviously at his best.

What the hell happened to the feed from OLN? I stopped watching it and went to cyclingnews.com to read the live coverage. I hope they get it figured out.

An American won the prologue and his name isn't Armstrong! Way to go David Zabraskie!!

Amazing that just a few years ago there were no americans that really had a shot to win anything in pro cycling and some guys named LeMond, Hampstien, Armstrong and Julich come along and start getting some noteriety.

I only hope that coverage of the Tour doesn't quit when Lance is finished. Most people here in the US it's the only cycling race there is. To be honest, I wish we had more coverage of all the major races including the spring classics. However, OLN has decided that bull riding is more exciting.

I have a feeling Lance will not win. I want him to. I hope he does, but something in my gut tells me he will not win.
