Well, for those of us lucky enough to have gotten the day off yesterday...Welcome back to work. Now...what would you rather be doing right now?

Well, there are those of us who have been at work all throughout the weekend. I'm sitting waiting to be called out for a trip. I'd rather be working right now.

The problem sometimes after a 3 day/4 day holiday weekend, is that you have to do the lost day's work over the shorter week that is left. Then you have fellow workers whom add vacation days to the weekend to stretch their annual vacation time (I have done that a few times!) and you end up short handed. Oh well, back to the salt mines....

No luxury to do that this year, LTBEWR. Just back to the daily grind with the nagging hen of an office manager. Life will be so nice when she's finally canned in a week or so.

All this and I get paid too.

I don't have to go back to work today! The University's holiday is both yesterday and today, and it's a paid holiday. Just to rub it in more, I also got Friday off because the bookstore finished its inventory early. So I got a 5 day weekend.

Actually, I'm still not back to work yet. Lucky me drew jury duty this week. God is jury duty boring. I spent my day in the jury assembly room watching TV. At the end of the day I got selected for a jury pool for a case in the morning. I'd rather be at work......

Ditto...my work day was pretty long, and tiring as heck, I can barely keep my eyes open right now...and since most of the workers decided to take the day off (knowing that bunch, they all probably had some serious hangovers, and I wouldnt rule out a run-in or two with the cops  Wink), the place was pretty quiet, making things even duller...hopefully tomorrow will be more normal...
