Law enforcement authorities sometimes investigate unusually high residential electric or water bills, as those can result from hydroponic marijuana-growing operations.

the who received the bill along with the city officials were really cooperative and had a good time with the impromptu attention they received from the St. Louis media. Rose Cook and the city officials actually found a lot of humor in what happened.

the funny kicker the CNN article leaves out, is the $74,000 water bill was to be due on this Friday, July 15. the late fee would have been $4,000.

a great quote from one of the stories ran..

"Rose Mary says the city told her the water meter may have died. She told them if it hadn't, she'd kill it."

Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.

Is there a math wiz that can figure out how long it would take to run 1 million gallons of water through a 1" service at 60PSI (I think most systems run between 40 and 70PSI)

OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

We had one here a while ago.

An old dear got a gas bill but the computerised billing system inserted her phone number instead of the amount payable or something like that. She got a bill for several million.

The poor old girl keeled over and croaked due to the shock.
