the who received the bill along with the city officials were really cooperative and had a good time with the impromptu attention they received from the St. Louis media. Rose Cook and the city officials actually found a lot of humor in what happened.
the funny kicker the CNN article leaves out, is the $74,000 water bill was to be due on this Friday, July 15. the late fee would have been $4,000.
a great quote from one of the stories ran..
"Rose Mary says the city told her the water meter may have died. She told them if it hadn't, she'd kill it."
Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.

Law enforcement authorities sometimes investigate unusually high residential electric or water bills, as those can result from hydroponic marijuana-growing operations.
Public record . . . easy to do . . . been there done that!
Been there done that? As the advertisement says, "Inquiring Minds Want To Know!"
"Let me think about it" = the coward's way of saying "no"
