Hollister and Ruehl too! The quality of their cotton is amazing, so soft..almost like velvet. Their clothes are young, hip and fun, and their colognes Rock!

Am I alone in this?

I'm wearing an A&F shirt right now. I love their stuff, although it is a bit expensive, and I have Fierce, their cologne.

I like their T-shirts because they are of good quality, and I wear Woods exclusively. But I don't get paying for ripped jeans.

it amazes how many people don't realize that Hollister has dark interiors to purposely hide the poor quality of their clothing.

and i'm not saying this because it's my opinion, i'm saying this because it's in their business plan.

I used to buy from them, when they were more like a rugged Brooks Brothers, but now that they are a Child Porn shop I refuse to buy from them.

http://www.scripophily.net/abfitcom1.html

The brand was established in 1892 and became known as a supplier of rugged, outdoor gear. It was acquired by The Limited Inc. in 1988 and in 1992 was repositioned as a more fashion-oriented casual apparel business. An initial public offering was held in 1996, where The Limited retained 84 percent of the company. It became independent in June 1998, when the remainder of the company was spun off to Limited shareholders.

Abercrombie & Fitch is a retailer of casual clothing and accessories for men and women targeting the collegiate demographic. The company operates over 200 stores including 14 "abercrombie" stores for children and teenagers -- and also publishes a quarterly combination magazine/catalog.

In 1892 Abercrombie & Fitch began under the name David T. Abercrombie Co., a small waterfront shop and factory in downtown New York City owned by David Abercrombie.

David Abercrombie, born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, was a former trapper, prospector, topographer and railroad surveyor. He was also an inventor, an ingenious designer of tents, rucksacks and other camping equipment. It was his love of the great outdoors that inspired him to begin Abercrombie & Co., a shop dedicated to selling only the highest-quality camping, fishing and hunting gear. His clientele consisted mostly of professional hunters, explorers and trappers. And a man named Ezra Fitch.

Sorry, I think they went over the top trying to sell to teeny twinkies and left their old customers behind.

I know that they have been very succesful, but I won't buy from them. I guess that makes me an old....

Yes, I admit that I hate A&F with a passsion. Same goes for their long arm Hollister. When someone wears something from them made within the last 10 years or so its like a walking billboard "Please beat the living sh!t out of me" Gives us Polaks something to do. Actually I once saw my friend whos Polish wear one and I told him he had about 2 minutes to change before I proceeded to knock the daylight out of him. I just threatened to call him American at first, that one always works  Silly

That's awesome!!! So, do you fit the bill?

As for the topic at hand. I don't really care for A&F. Not because it's overpriced - because it is. Not because it's pretentious - because it is. Not because you're likely to see someone wearing the same shirt that day - because you will. Simply because I do not like their clothes. Their jeans are ok, but I can think of better things other than jeans that I can spend $50-70 on. But, maybe at somepoint they'll put out some clothes that are nice and not terribly expensive and I'll consider it.

Hate to tell you this, the jeans are much more than the price you listed. And to add insult to injury they look worn and used already!

My requirements for clothes are that they be comfortable and fit, doesn't matter what brand they are.
