I need some advice and it involves a woman. Last time I came to Europe I fell madly in love (or madly infatuated) with this girl, or as some of my friends call her - bitch ass ho. I am so upset because I have been trying to get over her like for almost a year!
It should not be this hard to get over a girl. Yes I think she is perfect and she embodies what I look for in a woman, but what can I do to forget her? I live in Tallahassee and she in Milan and she has told me she is not interested in sustaining a relationship with me.

I was DESPERATELY in love with another girl (namely for her physical attributes) and I still think about her from time to time... but as I have a connection to know what's she's up to, I have learned that her life (though professionaly sucessful), is a very sad, empty, and materialistc. If I had stayed with her, I NEVER would have had any children and knowing what I know about my love for my kids, that truly would have been a tragedy.

Ok here ya go. I have expreience here. It wasn't quite another country but it was Flint, Michigan(well Columbiaville actually but that's the closest city) so that almost counts. Here's the low down. We stayed together for almost three years. There's a reason that I know exactly what time that NWA flights leave to Detroit from Tampa and why I have been on almost all the DC-9s and have 8 billion WorldPerks miles. It was great...she was beautiful, we had tons in common, talked every day, made time to see each other every other month. The sex was great too, just as an aside...lol. However, it didn't work out, and I was on the bad end of the stick. Totally devestated. Took me about 6 months and a lot of beer to come out of my shell. Then I realized that I only had 8 months left in college and it was time to make the best of it. So, I went out, partied my ass off, hooked up with random coeds, went on a cruise, and basically said f*ck it.
Just get past it my friend, from Nole to Nole. There are way too many incredibly hot, sexy, and "willing to learn" women up there. Just go have fun and let loose. Score one coed and your pain will go away.

or it could be the fact that he simply didn't want to get married. why is it such a big deal. no one -has- to get married in order to be a great person. i think can think of quite a few people who have contributed more to inspiring people and doing good things than you could ever hope to dream of, and these people have never been married and never will.

Mia, if you want this woman, don't waste your time asking other men, take it from a woman, you can have her should she be free of other engagements. All you need is basic psychology, and the drive to apply it tactfully. With sufficient determination (presupposing you meet the standard prerequisites (more on that below)) you can have her, or any woman worth having.

Most of all, if you are serious about this girl, and it is the distance keeping the two of you apart, after you go see her be willing to make a compromise - either you or her - to a place where mutually you can thrive.
Remember, with enough effort, skill, and planning - and most of all earnest desire - anything can be had.
