FORT CARSON, Colo. - Soldiers and state wildlife officers captured an intruder that had penetrated a fenced area on this Army post: a 500-pound female moose.
The Division of Wildlife said Thursday the moose had wandered into an area reserved for equipment that will be returning from Iraq, where more than 10,000 Fort Carson soldiers are deployed.
"The location was less than ideal for a moose," said Steve Cooley, a wildlife manager for the Division of Wildlife.

Quoting L-188 (Reply 6): Jeeze, you think they didn't have any moose there.
They don't, well,...they didn't. Moose are rare (1000 +/- animals) in Colorado especially along the central front range. The last moose seen in this area (2000?) walked about 200 miles to get there. Moose were reintroduced to CO in the 1980s, but the population is limted to fairly small areas well away from where this one was found.

Should we let the Israelis question the moose? MI5? Maybe the Egyptians?
I don't understand everything I don't know about this.

Not this time. No, this is cleary the fault of none other than George W. Bush himself. He has screwed up yet again, and this incident calls for immediate impeachment.

Fort Carson, in Colorado Springs, provided 600 pounds of ice to put in the trailer to keep the moose cool for the drive through record-high temperatures.
Nice

Nah, it would go something like this:
Jeez, maybe if Dubya would've personally seen to it that this post had more fence security, things like this would not happen damnit!

Funny if the moose turns out to be an undercover BRAC inspector.
