The Cook County Republican Party is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an indictment and conviction of Mayor Richard M. Daley, whose administration has been buffeted by scandal.

I am quite sure that 'reward' amount will grow from non-Chicago citizens whom are mostly republican. Look, the Republicans couldn't get a decent canidate for the US Senate due to a 'scandal' and are despirate to get to the Democrats.

Okay, here's the skinny!
Nail the mayor of Chicago and get $10,000!
That's the offer from the Cook County Republicans, and a pathetic offer it is indeed. They'll give you ten grand if you squeal on Mayor Richard Daley in such a way that the political corruption charge actually sticks and leads to a conviction.
Think of it: $10,000!
What depressing pikers!
That's why this political party is in such trouble in Chicago (and Illinois, too).
