So, anyone ever had a pet bird who could talk and in doing so, was funny/embarrassing?
Years ago, an aunt, now long deceased, had a Mynah Bird that copied her hacking smokers cough, eventually also her reply to it of "shut up, you bugger."

..that thing could say anything, and yes he'd drop a few F-bombs every now and then, much to the delight of me and my sisters.
Its favorite activity however, was imitating the telephone's ring; and it drove her nuts because it could imitate it perfectly-- even the correct volume; so she'd always end up answering the phone for no reason.

When I was a kid, my cousins had a parrot that would yell "hijuep***" (the Spanish equivalent of "son of a b*tch"). The best part of it was watching my aunt's useless efforts to silence the parrot, only to make "ese loro desgraciado" yell louder.
Being a pioneer in any field is not by itself a guarantee of continued success - Pan Am, anyone?
