i live in turkey, i have nothing to do with NWA, nor the DC10 and i cant figure out how the heck my brain comes to thinking those things....

I hate those dreams that wake you up in fear. Whenever it happens to me I've either fallen of a bike or slipped over a cliff...

PilotAydin,
Have you been eating cheese lately? Reason I ask is that eating a fair bit of cheese brings on nightmarish drems...It happens to me a lot. And I know how much Turks like cheese!  wink

Just a thought

Hope it clears up, otherwise make sure you are not near any mountains  eek

I have that dream a couple times a week. Sometimes it's a DC9. The only difference is that they go down in a farm field just north of town. I'm 30 miles ENE of MSP.

Aydin,

Eventhough there is an obvious connection (airplanes), you should not pay attention to the specific story itself.
Our "subconscience", the part of our brain that works mainly on its own, sends sometimes funny impulsions to the "conscious" part.
We do not (consciously) control the work of the first, but we can make use of its database (eg. a name that you had forgotten and tried to recall without success...and pops up out of "nowhere" two hours later).
The same part can randomly fabricate a lot of things using for this all the data it has acquired from the conscious part, including feelings, smells and every input gathered by your senses.
The result sometimes is a story, fictitious, but based on actual elements (the plane et al). It has no meaning, it is just an exercise.

Two direct quotes. One answer: Cheese smells and has a subconscious effect on your... subconscious.  thumbsup

LOL, you're probably very much into the NW DC10 when you wake up or you have a trauma with that that makes you dream with it.

As several a.net fellows said : have sex, get drunk, watch Spongebob Squarepants, get a crush on someone.

Maybe don't get into a.net that much...seems healthy for me. Everything that might not remind you of an airplane. Don't spin on it too much, that's why sometimes you can't get through things.

Cheers

actually i have a pretty wild life out here, i party a lot, pretty much 4 times a week, i have an awesome girlfriend, and some crazy friends.

It's weird though, im not stressed out at all, in fact it's quite the opposite, ive been flying a lot of multi time lately, and im about 1 month short of starting my airline ground lab with turkish...and no i don't really like cheese lol.

The scary thing is, one month before TWA 800, i was in Athens and i had seen a twa 747 there, and around about then i had a dream where i saw the sillouette of a 747 flying away and it disappeared in the sky, vanished.

Some people wave theories away, other people don't believe in 6th sense, i don't know what i believe, but in my family, especially my mom, we all fear when she dreams...they come true one by one...it's super freaky lol

what's everyone doing this weekend?!

For about 20 years I regularly dreamed I was falling from the third floor in a large staircase inside a building, a clear and extremely detailed virtual movie.
The place did exist, exactly like in the dream, yet I have been there only once and.... it was before I reached age 3. (we moved to another continent by then)
Go figure.

I had one last year which defies all logic. In it, I was a spectator to a parapsychologic experiment involving 12 persons running around a rectangular area in which was a strange metallic object (which I can depict with perfect accuracy). The aim of the exercise was to sense if the object could in any way or form be "manipulated" by the conscious will of the people going around.
I have never seen such thing nor been a spectator to any psy experiment.
Guess what.....when talking to an expert about it I was told that such an experiment (several in fact) did take place though not exactly as I dreamed it.
Go figure.

The same happens to me as well! I now don't eat cheese at night (unless I'm very drunk and the cheese is in pizza form). There have been many occasions when I've eaten cheese before going to bed, and had bizarre and frightening dreams. Strange, but it does seem to have an effect.
