When i try to connect to the #aviation IRC room i get a message thatr i've been banned bcoz of Abuse. I would like to know what i've done to be banned bcoz IMO i've done nothing wrong! I tried to find the emails for the chat room operator but couldn't find them. If you don't want to reply here, you can send me email to alexander.holst@pp.inet.fi.

They might of banned you by your IP address. If you're on broadband, then your IP address is probably static. If you're on dialup, it usually changes each time you connect.
Speaking of banning, I just got an e-mail reminding me about forum edict. Now I'm in a foul mood.

Most DSL does have a static IP address. Broadband is usually either ISDN, Cable, DSL, T-1/3, and now satellite. Except for ISDN which a static IP is usually an option, the rest have IP addresses they don't change @ all or only change on occasion.

According to my records, OH-LZA was k:lined(banned) from the server, which is outside our control. Some people on the same ISP as him created trouble and therefore the entire ISP was banned. This happened to even KLM747(William) before.
Regarding Broadband IP numbers; Usually, unless you pay an extra fee each month, your IP is dynamic, to get it changed you must shut down and restart your computer.
Derek; I am willing to let you back in after the additional chat we had after what you posted, however I don't think the others are, and I did not set the initial ban; Access did. Guys; see how I apologized.
Gundu; your ban was set long before I was opped. I am instructed to enforce it until further notice and that's what I do. I do not think I am "damn grand" or anything. No one got angry when I was opped, they were just concerned about what happened to the voting system(as far as I could tell based on emails between us all.)
I personally try not to piss people off but when other ops ban and I am told to enforce the ban, I do as I am told, and sometimes it will piss people off, there isn't much that can be done about that.
I hope that clears things up for the most of us.
