Yes, and it was also my sense of smell. Whenever I have a cold that clogs up my nose, I can hardly smell (or taste) anything, and ever since I got that cloud of HCl gas in my nose it hasn't been the same. I even managed not to smell chlorine one day, but thankfully that happened only once.

I one time lost all my smell, vision in my right eye, hearing in my left ear, and touch on my middle fingers. Talk about a day. I could hear people coming from my right but not see them, I could see people coming from the left but not hear them. Anyways, they all came back after I realized I was dreaming...Your sense of smell will come back, try a skunk!

Play it safe and get it checked out. I just read about a neurological disorder that is preceded by a sudden loss of smell. Can't remember the specific disorder, but read about it in "The Agile Gene".

Its alright, i took some vicks sinex a few days ago for my blocked sinus'... it cleared up the sinus' but made my smell go away...
It should be back in a few days. but its the weirdest feeling in the world not being able to smell anything...

i lost my sense of pain for a couple of hours once. i got my mate to ride his cycle and i held onto the wheel while he's riding, didnt hurt a bit but riped my hand up and also i punched a metal BT box and it didnt hurt and was quite cool at the time

If you can still taste that stuff, you probably haven't lost your sense of smell. Something like 75% of our sense of taste is related to the sense of smell.
