"BREAKING NEWS

President Bush calls Chief Justice William Rehnquist a "man of character," says he will soon choose a "highly qualified" candidate as his replacement. Details soon."

I'm not big into politics as most people on this site are, but is there a need for this as breaking news? They announced the 9/11 attacks on their site in the exact same way as this.... In any event, did anyone expect Bush to say anything else? Maybe it's just me...

The CJ of the USSC dying is a big story - maybe not 9/11 big, but we can't forever measure everything up against that. It's "breaking news"-worthy. However....

The most ridiculous breaking news of all time:

About two or three weeks ago Foxnews came in with a "Fox News Alert" for a tree branch that fell at the PGA tournament and "may have or may not have injured one person - more details to follow."

That's how I knew that the media has lost it.
