Chief Gates was leaps and bounds above those political choices that succeeded him, and was unjustly forced out of his position. Bernard Parks and Willie Williams were both wimpy politicians disguised as cops and were a disgrace to the force, especially since they were both put there solely to appease the Black Community.
I'm sorry Mr King, but you deserved every single whack you got. You brought it on yourself. When you are impaired through drugs, alcohol, or both, and then drive, leading the cops on a high speed goose chase endangering innumerable innocent people, you deserve to have some justice knocked into you. So what if it was 4 cops against 1 you? It should've been 10 cops using you as a baton pinata. The only mistake the cops made was allowing themselves to be videotaped. Had they done it right, they would've gently assisted you into the cruiser, handed you a cup of coffee so you could sober up, then take you down to the precinct house and wailed away on you until you became nothing but a limp, lifeless stain on the ground. Case closed. No cameras. No riots. No looting. And Chief Gates would still be in charge.
Sound cruel you say? Well don't drive drunk. And when the cops want to pull you over, you pull over. And if they order you to the ground, don't keep trying to get up. Sounds pretty simple, eh?
