Instead of finger pointing why aren't the other politician's doing this?
Quoting http://www.nbc6.net/news/4887230/detail.html: NEW ORLEANS -- Although he said it's not time to point fingers, former Louisiana Sen. John Breaux said he deserves some criticism for the problems in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Breaux, a Democrat, said he and other current and former members of Louisiana's congressional delegation failed to get more money for evacuation efforts and the strengthening of levees.

Quoting DL021 (Reply 1): I do wonder if he would feel unencumbered to say this if still in office.
Doubtful. Its a lot easier to be humble and honest when your time is over, as opposed to risking your future office possibilities by admitting failure now. Either way, its extremely respectable, but the voters don't have the reputation of always voting by their morals.

Robert Rogers, who earned $30 dollars a day before the storm, has found a $125-a-day job with a cleanup crew.
Although the order was given quite some time ago to f&king leave NOLA – notice this guy is working, not bitching about the heat in line for his $2k debit card. I'm sure his work is in much worse conditions.
(bitching about heat reported in the Houston Chronicle Friday)
