OK...since someone whined to a mod and got the original bestselling thread with over 50,000 actual views and nearly 400 responses over an 8 month period locked down because they did not want to wait to view it (which makes no sense....if you don't want to see it just don't tune in, don't ask to kill the thread). Venting over.

We will post the salient points of the previous thread here, and I'd like to start with how we got started and the organizational chart we'll also post the photos and I promise that within the week we'll have the website up and running.

It's been discovered that olive oil help prevents breast cancer. I've sort of knew this all along.

Do it today, tomorrow it might be illegal.

OK...we have a new business here Larry, if you are interested.

We need a Winnebago, a couple of white smocks, and a large sign that says Womens Mobile Preventative Health Clinic.

We offer discount breast exams and oil rubdowns....all in the name of health.

You in?

Ian

Just a second, if you want to make it a viable business case you have to look at all aspects of the enterprise, not only at the final application, however enjoyable that might be.

Since I do have some 220 olive trees and some neighbours whom would be delighted to find an output for theirs, I could offer to supply the original product, in a virgin form or not. (originally it is not virgin, to make it so it requires multiple filterings)

No need to invade you see, better to secure a reliable supply source and negotiate conditions that would be beneficial for all parties.
It might need some changes to usual bully practice, but once adopted you will appreciate.

Olive trees produce only every two years and fortunately this year there will be a harvest. This take place in October with subsequent filtered and aromatized product available in bulk form (200kg drums) by mid of November, and bottling in December.

To understand fully the mechanics of the application and assess the requirements pertaining to the envisaged line of products, I offer to conduct a serie of initial tests at the source itself and thus well before October production. June-July would be suitable.

I do have some remaining bulk stock of 2003 season which I could make available at no charge; if we come to an agreement, I suggest you send a few sample subjects and a pair of evaluators.
The subjects should as much as possible be representative of the wider range of the future client base, both in size, shape, sensitivity and consistency.

What do you think ?

The Greek Belge took it further into business and...well, you can see the entire previous thread here http://www.airliners.net/discussions/non_aviation/read.main/714378/

Our organizational chart is here:

So I see there's a US VP spot open, Ian. How much do you want for it?  Wink You know, me being a graduate student at a major university guarantees access to the student body (or bodies, as the case may be), encompassing both undergrads and grads. Further, RDU is blessed with being well-endowed what with Duke and UNC being close by and an all-girls college (Meredith University) just up the street from me. And, of course, being a CAE native that gives me access to the USC co-eds.

Do you have any positions open for Quality Control Technicians? In order to ensure full customer satisfaction you need people out in the field ensuring the quality of the final product... you know proper oil distribution, customer satisfaction, and all that jazz.

While I may have submitted my application a bit late and may not be able to get a position at the corporate office (where is that to be located by the way) I could head up a regional field operation.

I believe we have been incorporated as a Delaware corporation. Is that still true, Ian? The location of the head office is top secret, however.

I see by the org chart that I work for Superfly. Fine, but I'm not going to base the Connie in San Francisco. I'll announce a schedule for stewardess interviews and physicals soon. You have a problem with "stewardesses?" Get me an updated plane and I'll get you an updated cabin crew. Connies had stews. I'm not stuck in the past, just have respect for traditions.

God damn it Ian! You mentioned it in the very beginning that you need an intern; and I was left off the Org Chart?! I'm livid! Specifically, I would like some experience in the application of the product and the post-appliciaton assessments with the victims (ahem.. patients) to inspect how well the product performed and to assess any unanticipated effects/benefits.

If you need a copy of my CV, I'll gladly provide.

I'm pretty sure I know which one you are referring. As a matter of fact, I joined the site due partly to that thread. One of my firsts posts was in reference to the "wool industry" that employs one of our Scottish members.
But don't mention that, as I don't think we are allowed to discuss it any further.  Big grin  Big grin
