Hi guys

I just found this webpage: http://www.micom.net/oops/

There are many interesting photos on this page, mainly of aircraft in strange situations, or as they call it: "oops moments".
Hotlinking to the photos doesn't work, but you should really look at theese pics:

What the hell happened in oops2.jpg? How did that container get into the tristar engine? Big grin

Enjoy!

Thanks Carmenlu15.

BTW, if you look at Advertising.jpg you can see that it is an Airliners.net photo by Bill Blanchard. Do they have permission to use it?

This site is always brought up in the photo forum as a large collection of photos used without permission.

Funny pictures, though.

BTW Actually, looking again, many of those photos aren't so funny, a lot featuring accidents involving many deaths. Just something to keep in mind...

RIGHT THATS IT all humor is hereby banned on a.net.

Harry, you are one of these a.netters that need to get out more... get a life...

Quite a few forums are now commenting on people like you.

Are people no longer allowed to joke or have a laugh in fear of being socially incorrect/ morally improper in some way?

Get out of here man!

But it's not funny. Jokes are funny. Pictures of plane crashes aren't. Some jokes about plane crashes are funny, but a picture of a burnt out plane isn't funny. If you think it is, then you're pretty weird.

Please, if you've seen any of my posts, you would know that's the opposite of what I am like, and I never worry about being improper and so forth. So to you, I say:

But, since you have such a sense of humor, let's all sit around and have a good laugh at this picture:

VSIVARIES, how I wish there was an UNrespected users list. How can you find these things humorous, and, in addition to that think we are wrong for not finding them funny?! What about family members of the poor souls lost in some of these accidents?! And don't say that since you weren't affected you can find it funny, because that would just be too shallow. I don't know about you man...who's the one who needs a life?

Harry, welcome to my RU list, I agree with you completely.

I always wondered how they had the audacity to post some of these. Some of you guys have sick senses of humor. Granted, SOME of these are humorous but the ones that involved fatalities are just not appropriate.

1) Many of those pics are stolen from Anet. No credits or copyright notes.

2) HAHAHA funny. Crashed planes, 1000s of dead people. VERY funny.

3) OK one really IS funny, the one where they crane a Ford Focus out of the water and the crane falls in and they get a second crane. But I fail to see how that one is av-related, as the page title claims.

Yeah, that's right. Plane crashes are not funny at all. Just think of all those who have died and their families.

Please notice that never once did I say that these pictures are funny, I said they were interesting. And yes, some of them actually are funny (like the tristar engine photo), but that was not the reason I posted the link. I just know that we are all interested in planes and I thought many of them were interesting.

Not really something to laugh about is it.

You want something to laugh at? Take the US SST. Oh, yes, I forgot. There wasn't one. Idiot.

Haha, I love when people don't read a thread and then make a fool of themselves.  Smile

Thats awesome language. Suggested deletion.

This whole thread is getting kind of out of hand, don't you think?

25 Post contains images Newark777 : It was a misunderstanding, and he apologized. If I had been laughing about the Concorde, I really would have been a little pile of puke. Anyway, this
26 Post contains images AirxLiban : I think what happened was that they were taxiing on 4 engines and then the pilot decided that they didn't need to use all 4, and so he shut down one
27 EGTESkyGod : ANITIX87, I did apologise, I admit I didn't read it right. But what is wrong with the language used? Agree with Newark777, please lock this thread.
