Nat'l Enquirer Story About Bush And Booze

I post this not because I can't stand George Bush (although true enough), but I find it unbelievable that even a tabloid like the Enquirer would dare pen an article insinuating that W is back on the bottle again.

Lame duck indeed!

The source document alone lends itself to instant fantasy and causes immediate need for the  redflag .

I don't find it at all unbelieveable that the Enquirer would publish anything about anyone at any time.

Now what will be unbelieveable wil be the number of posts after this one that seem to think the article is true and will call for Impeachment, the Death Penalty, Resignations and the like  crazy .

All you can do is consider the source.

"a Washington source" could be a figment of their imagination. there's nothing to answer to without a name.

I heard about this story just today. While the Inquirer is completely illegitimate in terms of a reliable information source, I wouldn't write this off completely. The Inquirer has been correct in the past. Remember Rush Limbaugh and his addiciton to pain killers? Guess who first reported on that -- it was the Inquirer. Several other high profile stories have been first reported by the Inquirer as well.

While Bush admits he has had a problem in the past regarding alcohol, he doesn't believe in counseling, nor does he believe in psychological therapy. He is a human being who is under a huge amount of stress. Is it completely unreasonable to see him fall back to his previous habits? If he was caught by Laura taking a drink, I think she'll be pretty diligent in keeping him in check.

I just think that when you've lost the Enquirer (the source where most Americans seem to get their information), you've pretty much lost it.

Hey I'm as big a Bush-basher as there is, but the National Enquirer? I have always expected that he sneaks a drink every now and then, but this is not proof.

For the record I hope he is drinking again, because it's not as if his decision making could get any worse!!

Bottoms up Dubyah!!

Let's see. grinding of teeth, skin extremely pain, unable to stand still, always moving around and changing resting positions once every few seconds, unable to keep a thought and explain it in detail without stumbling and changing the subject, etc. It is quite obvious to anyone who was paying attention to him that he was under the influence of cocaine, or a similar drug. Now why are you denying this, do you even know the signs of a cocaine user? Do you honestly remember his demeanor during the debates? or are you just going sit here like every other sheep and deny deny deny only because I said it and it doesn't fit your narrow views?
