KEFM 96.1 Omaha NE's playing all-Christmas music. We're trying to figure out if this sets a new record...Omaha reached 98 degrees on Wednesday, btw.
What probably happened, as is the case in most radio stations across the country, is if the radio station takes a severe bash over the summer ratings, usually the entire air staff is fired, the format is dumped, and the station switches to Christmas music while station management (what's left of them, anyway) work on a new format, look, and appeal for the station which debuts sometime after the new year.
For those in the St. Louis area, you will recall this is what happened with The Mall about two years ago. And if ratings continue to plumment for "The River," expect the same.
if assumptions could fly, airliners.net would be the world's busiest airport
