CNN reporting the Senate has voted 78-22 to confirm Judge John Roberts as the 17th Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Now it's on to finding Justice O'Connor's replacement.

Judge Harriet Mier is one of the leading candidates for O'Conner.

Roberts is a strong leader, he'll be in the high court for a few decades.

Glad to hear the news on the vote.

Ms Mier was once Wubba's personal lawyer here in Texas. With all the fodder around Delay and him being from Texas...I like Judge Edith Brown Clement of the 5th circut.

Announcement could happen as early as Friday.

Regards.
