You could also try using some WD-40. It seems to remove almost anything. I don't know about this orange stuff called Goo-Gone. Has anyone tried it?

Goo-Gone is brilliant, but it leaves an oily residue you have to wash off. I've never used it on gum.

You also might want to try peanut butter. Yes, your jar of Jif or Skippy Peanut Butter is excellent to breakdown gum. The oils in the peanut butter help to breakdown the sugars or other ingredents. It is also excellent to get gum out your hair (like if you fall asleep with gum in your mouth, it falls out onto your pilliow and it ends up in your hair).
