Good day

 bigthumbsup

I like it! Last Friday I worked a flight with a Cpt. who was retiring and it was his last flight. My friend had "Come Fly With Me" on his iPod and he played it over the PA as the PAX were deplaning. Everyone was shaking the CPT's hand and wishing him well. It was a really nice touch.

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

Give me a ticket for an Aeroplane (don't know the exact title and who sung it, but it would fit)

Otherwise I would prefer the sound of an F-16 taking off with full afterburner, at least that would be something which everybody could hear  Wink

Ugggh, Come Fly With Me, no way. Same for Leaving On A Jetplane and My Baby Just Wrote Me A Letter. We need something modern, yet still with the aviation spirit.

The Letter by the Box Tops... circa 1966 or 1967.

Anyway, how about The Steve Miller Band's Big Ol' Jet Airliner for the A.net theme song.

"TransEastern! You'll feel like you've never left the ground because we treat you like dirt!" SNL Parady ad circa 1981

30 KiwiNanday : I like the Big Papi Song even better!
31 Duce50boom : Considering the demographics of this site, "It's raining men" would probably fit the best. That, or maybe something by Boy George
32 DeltaRules : Or "Fly Like An Eagle", also by Steve Miller (or Seal's version, whichever version's better). DeltaRules
33 Derico : Cheesy entry for: "I believe I can fly" My vote: "Airplane"- Widespread Panic Spanish entry: "En la ciudad de la Furia"- Soda Stereo
34 TheSonntag : The best German Song and probably the best aviation song ever is "Über den Wolken" It starts like this: Wind Nordost, Startbahn Null-Drei, bis hier h

41 DLKAPA : Nah, "Take Back" would be a much better song for the photography forum.
42 AMSGOT : I'd say the following classic: "Airport" by The Motors.
43 Doona : Not a bad idea. How about "727"? Cheers Mats
44 EddieGunsmoke : I did a search on a song lyrics webpage, and came up with these: Of Montreal - You Are an Airplane Lyndsay Diaries - The Paper Airplane Dream Train -
45 FriendlySkies : Actually, compiling a CD with a bunch of "aviation" songs isn't such a bad idea...I'm sure it would sell enough copies at least to cover the cost of p
46 AGC525 : I agree there! I remember seeing a F-16 demo at PIT a few years ago, and they had 3 Doors Down's "Superman". That was cool!
47 S12PPL : "One is the loneliest Number" signed, all of a.net
48 KFLLCFII : Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away. End of story.
49 KiwiNanday : Highway To The Danger Zone would be nice. Plus, it would hint at how perverted and strange a.net is.
50 B727230 : Why not "Boeing Boeing 707" by Roger Miller, or the ever popular "Wieder in die Sonne fliegen" by Andy Borg...
51 Post contains images Diamond : "I can't get no satisfaction" Signed, FlyAUA

54 Post contains images Ljungdahl : I'll support that!
55 Post contains images Diamond : I think you meant to say YOU never know who is falling in love with you. A different love in every city, so I'm told.
56 Post contains images FlyAUA : Me??? I didn't know about that. Good to know... care to fill me in?
57 Blackbird1331 : I like, "Fly Me To The Moon". I wish I could sing for the A.Netters, I like singing as much as I like aviation.
58 BA380 : I would prefer the version by Keith Harris and Orville... but you can, Orville, you can!
59 LO231 : It's GKirk's opinion. Regards, Pinguin, not from UK
60 Aloha73G : "Up Up and Away" by The 5th Dimension and for some reason "Clocks" by Coldplay always reminds me of flying. Aloha!
