Quoting Peterk (Reply 111): If God "told" W to invade Iraq, I wonder why he then "told" "O" to attack US???
That's sounds like a GREAT thread, I suggest you start it.. I would but, I think I have had enough fun this week.
But you ought to have fun the next week - which will start tomorrow yes ... Look at my number of posts.. I can´t "start off" with such a one - though I´m a member for quite some time now.
And I won´t haunt you for plagiarism.. so feel free to have fun.. bigthumbsup
What I want to know is how is this/can this be reconciled?
If God told OBL to attack us, and (allegedly) W to attack Iraq, which "God" is 'right'?

Like I said somewhere else: Who wouldn't get schizophrenic if people always folded their hands, closed their eyes and knelt down when talking to him? Plus they get hyperactive and often cry whenever you try to respond... they apologise all the time and don't listen because they go "Holy Shit, he's talking to ME!!" You really can't judge him for trying to have a little fun, can you?
Walk together, talk together all ye peoples of the earth. Then, and only then, shall ye have peace.

The scary thing is they're both talking (or think they are) to the same God.

I'm thinking that if any God tells you anything, you shouldn't listen. Man is responsible for his own decisions. Mijailo Mijailovic said that "God told him" to kill Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh, and the courts decided he was crazy. And I agree. If there was a God, why on earth would he tell anyone to do anything?
Cheers

Sure, we're concerned for our lives. Just not as concerned as saving 9 bucks on a roundtrip to Ft. Myers.

because a number of people simply cannot live by making their own conscious decisions. and any time an idea comes into someone's head that makes sense, they are too stubborn to admit that it was their own idea and have to give the credit to someone else....i.e. the invisible man above.
the typical blar blar goes you hear someone write or tell someone when being something like this...
"I just don't know what to do, we just had to sit back and wait for what God told us to do."
"we weren't sure if what we were doing was the right thing or not, but we were confident this is what God was telling us to do."
Eternal darkness we all should dread. It's hard to party when you're dead.
