I'd say we have ourselves a pretty damn good list. Too bad these celebrities aren't more vocal to offset the Hollywood left.
It'll be interesting to see who will turn this one into a big flamefest.

These are probably the celebs who are smart enough to know that nobody gives a shit what they think. Also, they know better than to alienate a large percentage of their fan base by favoring one side over the other. Look what happened to the Dixie Chicks. Any one of those stars would stand a fair chance of pissing off 50% of the people who like them by taking a side.
With a very few exceptions, most of them don't have the education or real life experience to back up any political claims they might make, so unlike some of our very vocal college dropouts on the left (Martin Sheen, Babs, Etc) this group is smart enough to keep it zipped.

Interesting list. Accepting it at face value there are a couple of surprises if you buy into the red/blue, left/right, R/D stereotyping.
Expecting liberals to be more dope-friendly (narcotics - not politicians of dubious intellect) there are some famous dopers on there.
Some minorities.
Some no-surprise at all folks.
Some dead guys. Do you suppose Bob Hope is still a Republican?
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

With a lot of those being Country music artists, that's a no duh type of thing, as evidienced by the furor the Dixie Chicks wrought. Same thing for the NASCAR folks, they go hand and hand with Country music. Some on that list that surprised me:
Bob Geldof I guess getting knighted took away his liberal cred, as the whole Live Aid thing really seemed to be a hippy dippy sort of thing at the time and could have been seen as a way of criticizing Reagan and Thatcher.
Dee Snider P.M.R.C. anyone?
Marilyn Manson Anti-Christ Superstar......
At first Johnny Ramone surprised me, then I remember him making them change the title of "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg" to "My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes To Bitburg)" because he is a conservative and a Reagan supporter.
Hello Airplanes? Yeah, it's Blimps. You win, bye....

So the reason Lance Armstrong is conservative is because of a link to his website? Pat Tillman is (was) automatically conservative because he joined the military? Greg Norman is conservative because... I don't know - this is all the link leads to: http://www.scoregolf.com/golf-news.cfm. Jennifer Love Hewitt is labeled conservative because she visited injured troops in the hospital? Collective Soul is conservative because they played a concert for the military in Japan? In Charles Barkley's link, he explicitly states he is neither Democrat or Republican, so how does he fit in here?
And this is just from clicking on random links, about 25% of which were outdated and broken.
Not to say these people aren't necessarily conservative, but whoever put that list together should at least do some real research and provide real facts. Most of these are based on small exerpts from otherwise unmemorable articles. And whoever reposted it here should at least check out a couple of the links before blindly putting faith in someone else's erronous (based on present facts) assumptions. I guess people believe what they want to believe - I mean, how can a list that impressive be mistaken? Irresponsibility at its worst.

This whole thing is actually asinine when you look at how some of these folks have ended up on the list. I mean, geez, I supported the wars in both Bosnia and Afghanistan (had been baying about it for years)... does that make me a conservative?

Of course, there's some on the list that we're none to proud of to have.
It seems to me alot of athletes tend to lean to the right (God bless those upper class tax cuts ) - you can add John Smoltz, Curt Schilling and Luis Gonzales to the list.
As for the rest, not all of them are right-wing, they're just lean away from the left (I think Dennis Miller is libertarian).

This list is a bit subjective. I have a feeling that there aren't hard facts behind many of these assumed "right wing" celebrities. I'm sure that there is a similar list of "left wing" celebrities out there which one normally wouldn't agree with. Either way, it doesn't matter because it's the loudmouth celebrities of the left AND right that get the most attention.

I guess the righties like their drugs as much as the lefties.

Some of these are absolute stupidity. When you click on the explanations especially. For the Adam Sandler one, you get a fox news article that he said he supports the troops. Apparently liberals, or independents for that matter cannot support the armed forces. What a waste of time.
Oh, and Lawrence Funderburke is on the list. You would be hard pressed to find a more mediocre and unimportant NBA player than Lawrence Funderburke. Who gives a shit?
Expand that to the entire concept to all celebrities, media darlings, sports stars, etc., and their collective opinions on anything, and you're dead on the money.

True, but especially Lawrence Funderburke!
Anyone notice the abscence of Curt Schilling, perhaps the most popular/outspoken athlete of this decade?

Quoting Nordair (Reply 18): Considering you are the one who posted this list, what other motive could you possibly have for doing so other than to start a flamefest.
Well let's see -- to show at least somewhat of a list of celebrities that lean more towards the right. I didn't know that many people on that list are more towards the right. I learned something from it.
I'll admit I didn't click on a lot of the links, and apparently many of them don't prove a thing. It's not my list.
So far, this isn't a flamefest and I'm not complaing, we should keep it that way.
Ironic that you blame me for wanting a flamefest whenever you're the first person to write the post that's trying to initiate one.
And my oh my, you got me good one that one. Yep.
Quoting Nordair (Reply 18): But, we cannot blame you for any inaccuracies as it was given to you by a "friend".
Yes, but the list is from that WEBSITE. My friend at work simply gave me the link. I don't know why you feel the need to put quotations around the word, but yes, my friend did give me the link. Stop trying to act cute.

This list makes no sense. The evidence they provide is just stupid. They visited troops, or toured a military base, so suddenly they are conservative? I've like to see what all the celebrities who got put on this list have to say about what they were labeled.
