My exe's bed used to squeek only when in a certain position. That did suck yes, because it was also the best. My university dorm bed used to squeek the WHOLE time, so that was a bitch as well. Then there's my bed in Vienna which never squeeked... It never let me down

Then there is the waterbed equivalent - the air bubble rattle.

Friend of mine is an old non-skedder, told me this story.
He was on a layover (in the Philippines?) and through the wall behind his bed he'd hear: "squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! " for about thirty seconds then it would stop. He'd just about get to sleep and: "squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! " All night long! Not a good night's sleep.
Next morning, groggy from interrupted sleep, he dressed, carried his bags down the the elevator, pressed the button: "squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! squeak! " He'd been sleeping next to the elevator shaft.
I sleep on a latex mattress. It was expensive but it is wonderful.
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.
