Question is: Do you own an Ipod and if so which? Also do you plan to upgrade this soon?

I have a 40gig.

Cheers,

You can also post if you do not own an apple Ipod but another brand of MP3 device. Just wanted to see how many ppl have them on this site. We sell hundreds of them at my job weekly.

i have a 15GB model with the 4 orange glowing buttons above the wheel. i adore the design, but it has reached its max so i plan to buy a video ipod in the coming months.

i also have a shuffle (512MB) and a blue 4GB ipod mini.

clearly they all serve different purposes--i run with the shuffle, i use the mini either at the office or at the gym and i travel with the big ipod.

I got one of them too Matt...hasn't worked tho in 20 years...Can't find anyone to fix a Grundig...at least in San Fran

But no, I am currently protesting the IPOD movement...for no particular reason other than I can barely operate my Palm...AND I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE ONE ON MY RIGHT HAND!

I have the 20 gig iPod, the latest generation that did not come with the color display. I have also played around with the iPod Nano which would be very nice were it not for the fact that I have too much music to fit on it.

Heh, I have had my 20gb for 2 weeks now, color display. Of course in the first week I have 2 scratches on the LCD.  Sad Anyone know of any good protective cases for the 20GB? The scratches are annoying because I know they are there. They aren't THAT noticable. Big grin

The iskins are great. I have one for my 6GB mini, and it works great. If the one for the big ipod is as good as the mini one, I heartily recommend it.

I have a 20gb Generation 4 ipod running linux,

It currently has 2 and a half days of music on it but can fit alot more about 1000 songs so far.

Not planing on upgrading soon at least until they have a 600dpi 4" colour screen with 200gb hard drive and Phone, walkman, movie player, games and 6 megapixel camera in one.

Cheers,
Aaron

I have a 20GB Rio Karma, which at the time, spanked the crap out of ipod - but ultimately lost the design wars. Ugly as shit, but most audiofiles said it ran circles around Ipod. I'm also planning to get a Sony 1GB flash Network Walkman. Almost half the size of Ipod Nano and hold 50hour charge (compared with max 14 hours with Ipod)

I own an iRiver H10 5GB. It works great. Unlike the mini, it has a color screen, can store photos (I love this feature!) and has a radio. And got it for $200 USD. Compare that to $225-250 for a 4GB mini!

I've got the 40GB version of this only with Bang & Olufsen A8 earphones or use my Bose QC2's depending on whether I'm 38ft or 38,000ft off the ground  Smile Whoever uses stock earphones is a fool, especially those 'mug me' white ipod ones!  Smile

I have a 20 gig I got last year. I use it at the gym, while studying, while walking around and I have the iGo universal car charger that charges both it and my phone, along with a car kit that allows me to listen to it on long trips. Helped on the New Orleans-Canada-Boston drive.

When is Apple gonna roll out the Ipod with the color screen with TV capibilities. ABC signed an agreement with them to supply their evening shows for $.99/dl. Great idea!

You know how much I love analogue Matt D, but I'd like to see you try listening to your reel to reel on a plane. Nice thought though!

I have the 20 gig photo iPod and I love it. It goes everywhere with me. There's something missing from my life if I don't have music on demand.
