Quoting BaylorAirBear (Thread starter): I have a scar on my arse shaped like the state of Florida. It's about 2"x1". I burned myself on a baking stone when I was cooking naked.
I am having a great deal of difficulty with this one.
How do you burn your arse whilst baking?
What were you baking that had a resemblance to the state of Florida (a red or blue state?)?

I have a scar on my right arm, which looks like I was slashed. I got my strawberry birthmark taken off when I was 12 or 13. I tell people I was bitten by a shark, and the gullible gits believe me, lol. You can't see it much now but is still quite visible to a great big blob on your arm.

BTW: I don't necessarily think of scars as cool. I have some on my lower left leg from a nasty bike accident (a car drove across my lower leg) and one on my left arm from cancer surgery. I am thankful that I recovered from both incidents and value my health much more for it.

Ha! I've got a few scars down my right arm from a cast cutter, and I tell people the same thing! "Yup, I was out diving for lobster, when this giant Mako came out of nowhere, sunk his teeth into my arm, and thrashed me around...!"
"About the only way to look at it, just a pity you are not POTUS KFLLCFII, seems as if we would all be better off."

I didn't actually get a scar from this but I got hot soup on my cheek once.
I was camping with scouts and there was an empty soup tin in the fire which still had a tiny bit of soup left in it and someone chucked it in the fire and another was trying to get it out but it was jammed in so he was trying hard to get it out with a stick and when it did come out scalding hot soup hit me in the face. Lucky I didn't get a scar actually.

Ps anyone here actually been bitten by a shark?

I have a inch long scar on the palm of my left hand, shape like a backwards J. When I was five i tripped and fell, but my left hand landed on the broken bottle.
He was getting ready to put the icing on the cupcakes.
As for me, all the knuckles on my left hand are scarred up from fights in the past, and the gifts I brought home from Bosnia were my right thigh has a scar from a bullet entry, and across my stomach where the bullet skimmed across (shot from the side) and ended up in the Marine crouching next to me in his arm.

I small scar on my right hand pointer fingers joint. When I was 12 and doing Craft and Design I was filing a piece of metal which was held in a vice and needless to say I filed too fast and too long and caught my finger on the vice. Blood dripping everywhere. Nice.

If I ever go bald I will check to see. I should have some dandy scars on my crown. (But I have outlived the guys who gave them to me.)
Quoting TheSorcerer (Reply 14): Ps anyone here actually been bitten by a shark?
Yeah, I was.
Well, not a shark, more like a barracuda.
Well, not really a barracuda. More like a leech I guess.
Yes, a disgusting leech. Infected and left a nifty round scar just above my left knee.
Plus:
World's smallest machete wound, web of right thumb.
Left index finger where knife blade stuck in the bone. That was ugly!
Surgical scar inside right ear canal - I suppose, you can't see it.
Outside of right forearm, broken bottle.
Hundreds of little scars from wrist to nail on both hands from a lifetime of manual labors.
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

Scar on my chest where I burned myself with boiling hot water when I was about 2. Can't remember it, fortunately. At the beach last year someone asked if it was a bullet wound, so now that's my story if anyone asks. Small one where I sliced a finger open with a chisel (accidentally), as a kid, and another small one on my stomach where an enthusiastic surgeon cut out a freckle, which he thought was something else. Couple of broken/fractured fingers and toes from karate.
Oh, and the lobotomy, of course, but that's healing nicely.
Cheers
Bill

A small but visible scar on my right knee-cap. It's uninteresting to look at, but the story is great... I was about 8 and I slipped and fell on aggregate. Blood everywhere, could see the bone etc. Anyways, my dad put me in the car, and instead of driving to the hospital, he took me to his friends house who is an ER doctor. He stitched me up right on his dining room table, with his whole family watching!
Another weird one I have is a slash across my forearm. My sister was doing cartwheels and I did not see her. She ran right over me and her toenail(!) left a big cut across my arm.

I took the baking stone out of the oven and sat it on the counter. I turned and dropped my towel. When I bent over to pick it up, I pressed my ass on the edge of the baking stone.
