In December I'm taking a trip to S. Africa to visit relatives, etc and on the way have a stop-over in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) for a day and a night, before my connecting flight the next day (courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines).
Basically, I would like to find out what there is to do and where to go (or not to go) around the city in the short time I have there, rather than being cooped up in some boring hotel. Has anyone been there before?? Any suggestions/replies would be much appreciated, as my brother and I have never been there and are unlikely ever to go there again.
Oh, and does anyone know the confirmed date the A380 stops over here (SIN) - I can't seem to find any info on it, only vague ideas of when and for how long.
Thanks in advance and happy flying (or spotting if that adheres to you more)!

2. Find food
3. Fight for the food
4. Run away really fast with the food.
Hey just kidding, parts of Addis are beautiful, with very friendly people. Can't help out much though, I was omly 15 the last time I was there and thats a long long time ago. I know we have some Ethiopians on Anet, maybe they can help out?
