Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho claims he is ready to end his war-of-words with Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger.
Mourinho sparked a row between the pair on Monday when he said Wenger was obsessed with Chelsea and labelled him "a voyeur".
But he said on Thursday: "If he's ready to apologise for every quote about Chelsea, I'm ready to do the same.
"Of course it is not a personal thing. I think it's enough. So it is better for us to work and forget this."
The feud has bubbled all week with Wenger threatening legal action after Mourinho's initial comments.

Personally I believe it's because Mourinhio see Arsenal as the biggest threat to Chelsea in the near future and as such is playing mind games, similiar to Ferguson - Wenger, Ferguson - Keegan, etc.

I think Mourinho's great! Hugely entertaining, and sufficiently charming to deflect accusations of arrogance.
We've had these bitching contests between Ferguson and Wenger for years, the only difference this time is that Mourinho lobs in a dose of humour. I loved his response when Wenger said he's only won one title - to the effect that winning two in his first season would have been difficult.
By the way, Fergie's left out of it because Mourinho likes and respects him immensely.

Wenger has to be pretty frustrated right now. He is supposed to be challenging Chelsea, but right now Arsenal don't look like they will be within 20 points by the end of the season. Now he is losing the war of words, as he keeps complaining while Mourinho keeps everyone laughing. I might feel sorry for Wenger if I weren't a Chelsea fan.
I suppose he can take comfort in the fact that Ferguson's club couldn't beat an MLS team right now.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems with just potatoes.

How on earth has Mourinho won the battle of words? His wreckless outburst demonstrates Wenger's got under his skin despite being 14 points behind them, and having a fair few billion pounds more to spend.

LOL, under his skin? Hardly, Mourinho is a very cool customer. I like him alot and I think he has put alot into the game that we haven't seen for a very long time. He's a contraversial character who gets under YOUR skin, whether you like it or not. You either love him or hate him, personally I love him. He always has something to say and he seems to be very quick witted and sharp. I think Banco is right about Ferguson, they seem to share quite an almost autonomous relationship. However, Wenger has never really been 'in' with any of the premiership managers in the way that Ferguson is (although obviously many dislike Ferguson!).
As far as the war of words goes, I don't really see anything in it. You get it all the time with competing managers and it's blown out of proportion by the media. Wenger is right, he is often asked questions about Chelsea as they are the competition and then he gets quoted in the media with his comments. That is what Mourinho is reacting to as he only see's what Wenger has been quoted in the newspapers. There has been much worse in the past!

It's only November and again everyone thinks the title is wrapped up. Have we learnt nothing from the past. It's not over till it's over and from now until May is a long time. I'm sure Mourinho knows this and is starting off a fued from early on against what he thinks is his closest threat. Remember people No team is unbeatable.
Come on you Gunners
