Hi all
how are you?
Lucky me George Galloway mp is coming to Aberdeen music hall as part of his tour. Just wondering if anyone here has been to one of his talks what it was like and what you thought of it. Saw it on a documentary hopefully he'll sign books up here too =D

Oh, You like George Galloway....(That explains your equation of Bush's policy with all American citizens and your rants demonstrating a questionable grasp on reality that I remember from a couple threads... )
So, what to do when he comes? Ask him why he is a stupid, self-promoting, race-baiting, anti-semitic, carpetbagging, egomaniacal ideologue who gives the left a bad name--making it easier for Rupert Murdoch to portray good earnest old-Labour type politicians as the "looney-left" who have gone off the rails?
PS: The one good thing Galloway did was make a bunch of stupid Republican senators here in the US look like the idiots they are when he came and testified before congress. Otherwise, why would you want to waste your time going to this guy's appearance?

Quoting Gary2880 (Reply 3): But anyway I realize this probably is not the best forum to ask it in, but as its the only one I use, thought I might as well try. Any comments answering my initial question not from people of N229NW's ilk..
I've already met him, years ago.
In those days he was a more casually dressed radical in the Labour Party, erudite and willing to debate sensibly. Gorgeous George has since become impeccably styled and a media creation, a bit like a Coulter of the hard left (except he doesn't explicitly tell lies or scream abuse rather than try and debate).
I honestly find it hard to try and reconcile George 1980s with George 2000s. And you could apply that elsewhere as well

Why? Does he sing and dance? How much did you pay for the tickets? You could video tape me having flatulance in the bath tub. Though not as amusing as Galloway, I suppose.

I can't stand George Galloway... why on earth are you going to see him?
He uses the media to show his narrow minded views. This of course is great for them as they can show how much of a fanatic and idiot he really is. The media (especially Rupert Murdoch) love this sort of situation. As for his political party - RESPECT, they are bunch of loonies themselves.
