Well not surprised that she lost, thought she was ineffective as a Mayor.

And this dude will be effective? What have you been smoking? He's a two-bit politician if ever there was one.

Glad I moved out of town 5 years ago.

Good to hear that, because he won't be. You'll be asking yourself "why on earth did we elect this clown?"

I agree with you on this, I can not even figure out if he is white or black, and from watching him I am not sure he can as well......

Also a reason I live outside of the city!

Honest to god, I thought he was white.

Nice victory ceremony though...I'm not in Cleveland but I liked her...I'm gonna miss her name on the scrolling LED message sign at CLE:

"Welcome to Cleveland - Mayor Jane Campbell"

Well that did not take long to bring up that tired and old joke....

She should have worried more about running the city then seeking publicity and making appearances.

It never does. It's one of those things where originality goes by the wayside.

Anyway, Crapchester got a new mayor, too. But only because the old one (Democrat) was retiring, to be replaced by (Democrat) Robert Duffy, who got 72% of the vote.

Well, as shitty as she was as mayor... she did help the airport some. At least the people we have running CLE now are semi-competent. Hopefully it will only get better with the new guy.

Ah yes, Cleveland . . . the self-styled "northern coast of the United States." More accurately, a less-glamorous version of Detroit. Is the river still on fire?  Smile

On that note, Houston Mayor Bill White won reelection with 92% of the vote. Total landslide. He has rocked, and his handling of he hurricane(s) was incredible.

One of his first acts as mayor was to get rid of the sign at IAH that had the former mayor's name on it, and he had it not bear any reference to him.

Good call.

A mayor who actually understand it's the people of the city and not about him/herself.

As much as I think Cleveland sucks... c'mon man Detroit is one of the biggest stink holes in the country. More crime, more dirt and garbage mountains, less to do (amazingly... with the exception of a casino)... Detroit sucks man.
