I have this CF-18 low pass shot was was wondering how the crop was and if the image was overall acceptable to the database.

Not a great crop imho, as there is no reason to clip the wingtips as you have especially at the top; the aircraft is also soft and the colors oversaturated. |

A 4:3 crop might work for this shot in that case although I believe there will be some dead space. In this case i'll keep it for the personal collection.

Yes, the second is better, although the contrast is quite harsh, which would likely lead to a color/contrast rejection.
