Hello All,

I got below photos rejected for contrast reasons, grain and/or softness:

Hi Roger,

How's things? The KLM MD11 looks like it could do with just a little increase in contrast, but it doesn't look far off on my screeen. There's a little noise and it could do with a bit more sharpening so I tend to agree with the rejection reasons. Same with the 747 really. It looks like you were taking them late in the day and there wasn't much light, it's always going to be difficult under these circumstances. With a bit of noise reduction and a careful edit, you might be able to bring them up to the standard needed for here, but I don't think it'll be easy with them.

Hi Darren,

Everything is fine here, how was your diving trip? Hope you took some nice underwater photos. Thanks as always for your tips. I will see what I can do to improve these photos with your editing tips

Cheers,

Along with what Darren said, I would probably submit the MD-11 at a smaller size. I can see a bit of noise all along the blue on the fuselage.

On the 744, it looks high in the frame. I would crop it at 3:2 and crop out the bottom of the frame. It also looks slightly red to me, but I'm not sure I trust this monitor for color.

Glad to hear it. The diving trip was excellent thanks, you can't beat this (click to play);

The flights were pretty good too other than the 10 hour layover in Abu Dhabi on the way back. It was a long wait with little oportunity for photos. Nice to see you've had a few on the front page recently.

Wow.....How big was that thing? Looks like an 8 foot wingspan or so.

Looks like it was hamming it up for you too!

Something around 8-10ft, not a bad guess and that wasn't the biggest one we come across! It's amazing being up close and personal with Mantas, such a graceful fish. The sharks were just as playful too but i'd better not put a link to those clips on here!
