I would be mildly pleased if I got the first photo of Interjet at SNA into the database, but the lens I was using is new and really pushes the contrast, and the lighting angle from my position could be better. What do you think?

Looks pretty good to me, though I do see some dust spots.

"Two and a Half Men" was filmed in front of a live ostrich.

Tried to clean it up a bit. My sensor was pretty dirty that day though so I might have missed a spot or two.

Interjet is in, thanks for your help! Got pipped to the post by a day or two on their first shot at SNA, but that's alright. At the same time though, I got a rejection for this photo:

On the grounds of softness and distance. Here's my attempt to fix:

If it is rejected for distance again I'll eat my hat but it might still be soft- with this much ground clutter it's hard to select out the parts that need the most fixing so I had to settle for a low-amount unsharp mask on the whole image. Thoughts?
