I'm looking at a list of the operations and airport directors for a local GA airport, and most, if not all, of the men have "A.A.E." following their name. What exactly does this stand for?

A.A.E. stands for Accredited Airport Executive. You can only achieve that title by writing and defending a report, and taking a written and oral test. Once you have completed those requirements and passed everything you receive your A.A.E. Its a pretty prestigous title to have working in the Airport side of aviation.
I believe that members of AAAE who take the test and pass can use C.M. after there name, which I think stands for certified member. You can check out there site at www.aaae.com
