Greetings everybody.
I would like to ask if you know about how big is e-business in the aviation industry. With contracts (orders-leases-maintenance-repairs-spare parts etc) worth millions of dollars, I was wondering how these contracts are made. Do aviation companies use the traditional "door-to-door" sales techinque? I doubt.
I know that Boeing is using an extranet for its customers- a members-only on-line safe login network- that accomodates e-commerce. I have also heard that the volume of Boeing's e-business beats any other company in the web !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anybody with more info?
Thanks a lot.
Emmanuel

P.S. I am a Grad-Business student and I am interested on e-business (yet) from an educational point of view.

P.S.2 I posted a similar topic on the Civil-aviation forum but nobody seemed to know.
