Hi Everybody!
What does circle to land means? here's what I think: For example, you use Rwy 20 for approaches and use rwy 10 to land? Are you going to leave Rwy 20 approach course and land on rwy 10?
2.) How can GPS approach land a plane, look at the one for Huntsville, AL. The GPS approach is exactly 90 degrees to any runway. Do you make a sharp turn over the airport to land?

OPNL you remember me of a friend who was the assistant cheif instructor at my old school, he LOVED the aim!! He knew it inside and out, you could say section 5 and he could tell you all about it. Kind of funny looking back on it, however when he asks you questions about it, it is no fun!

GPS approaches are "non-precision" approaches which typically "overlay" existing VOR/DME or NDB approachs. These approachs don't always line up with the runway. They are simply designed to guide the pilot to the final approach fix on the published chart. From there the pilot can determine if he has enough visual contact to the runway to proceed.
Circling approaches are approaches where (typically) you perform the full procedure for one runway (Like and ILS) and "circle" around to another runway at some point after you've established visual contact.
Factors including aircraft performance and obstables in the area are considerations the pilot must think about before performing a circling approach.
