If there are any Netjets folks around, I'd like to hear about what marketing/ops job positions exist.

Specifically, I've heard about a position called "Technical Marketing", where you advise new clients on what aircraft best suits their needs from an operational standpoint.

If anyone could shed some light on this sort of position, and what it's like to work at Netjets, I'd greatly appreciate it.

my uncle is a netjets customer and i gotta drop by at its headquarters over in ohio and i toured the operations room and i did go over to the telemarketting dept. area where there was a position called 'technical operator' i think or somethign like that.

they talk to potential customers on the phone and enqurei about where you usually fly, budget, # of passengers, frequency, any requiremnetes e.g. flight attendatnt.. they're included on GVs, Falcons, BBJs, Hawkers but on the other Citations or Gulfstream 200s, they cost more..what are your luggage preferences.. do you need to carry golf clubs??i remember the guy as saying that the Falcon 2000 has more luggage space than the GIV but yeh.. they provide a good estimate of what plane you should fly on based on your preferences.. they sometimes do a route research for you seeing the fuel consumption, costs, ETAs, delays etc. based on your flight plan and will calcuate by season the head/tail winds to estimate how long it will take and how much it will cost you..my uncle got a route research for a route he takes often Santa Ana John Wayne Airport SNA ----> Houston IAH....they gave allt he information on head/tailwinds during different seasons and was very detailed..

i suppose this is what you will be doing..
and for working at netjets.. even thoguh i have no idea wat its like, it shoudl be pretty good working at the leader in Fractional Jet Ownership.
