Several openings in Everett, WA. 12+ month contracts. US Persons only.

JOB DUTIES: Assigned to 7E7/787 Primary Flight Controls Group.

Task # 1 is to develop control law validation and test requirements and integrate them into the Flight Demonstrator plan. Familiarity with 777 control laws and validation process is desired.

Task # 2 is to (1) use EASY5 to perform stability and performance analysis, (2) develop EASY5 models of primary control functions, (3) valdiate EASY5 with PSIM, (4) document models and analysis results (5) coordinate with Structures and Aerospace Stability and Control.


JOB SKILLS: Control Law Design Engineer experienced with control law design for Commercial, Piloted Aircraft.

- Must be competent in classical control law design including stability and performance analysis using frequency response plots.

- Must have the ability to use simulation analysis for validation of performance requirements and objectives.

- Understanding of the relationship between Aerospace, Flutter and Loads requirements as applied to Fly-By-Wire primary and autoflight control laws required.

- Must be capable of marrying the control law design with the air vehicle model in a simulation environment such as MATLAB/Simulink.

- Extensive experience correlating time/history data to the control law design is desirable.

- Prior Boeing experience with EASY5 and PSIM is a plus.

- Candidate must be a team player with good communication skills who enjoys a teamwork environment.

- Should have 10-15 years experience but could consider someone will less (eg., 5-8 years if the experience is directly applicable).

Anyone agree with me that this one sounds like a job posting that's already filled? I personally know someone who had a job wrapped up there before the opening was published in this manner. (not that that's a bad thing Wink
