I have noticed new devices on several tow back trailers (TUGS) and pickups that many airlines are using to direct the airliner in/out of boarding areas during lighting and bad weather. It is similar to a traffic light with the added left and right turn arrow laying horizontal.
This is a much needed device but I dont see this widely used yet. Can anyone tell me where to find these or the manufacture? I can see this is a system to save the airline time and money not to mention the tremendous safety advantages. It will also help the passengers get to their destination, with out these systems they would have to wait on the tarmac until the lightning passes and miss connecting flights and airlines burn fuel. Does anyone have more information?
