Hi, I am an absolute amateur, but I would like to "decipher" Jeppesen approach plates. Is there any tutorial anywhere?

Thanks

hmm I don't know, but I was always taught to "brief" them you simply read left to right, top to bottom.

Why not just use the legend? If you have the entire Jepp pacage, the legend explains everything you need to know. Almost. If not, buy a book regarding IFR, there are lot of good books out there. Good luck

Jepp used to put out the "Chart Clinic" series, which explained various aspects of the charts. I'm sure those can be found somewhere.

I like NACO charts better. Guess I was just "taught" with them and Jepps always seemed foreign. I believe there is an Advisory Circular on how to read aeronautical charts.
