I don't know the answers for you about when & on what flights Singapore Airlines might have E-Mail and Sms (what's Sms? ) on their aircraft .... Sorry. But if you don't get any answers in this Forum, you should re-post this question in the Civil Forum. They would know the answers over there for sure.
SMS = Short Messaging Service or sometimes Simple Messaging Service. It's akin to text messaging on a mobile phone or PDA. A shortened form of e-mail, it requires little overhead, but does not support attachments, font styles, or other enhancements. Compare with MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) which can include embedded attachments such as pictures or sound files.
