Quoting T prop (Reply 1): There is a saying that goes, if you have to borrow something more than once, it's time to get your own.
Words to live, and work by. It is my rule that if I have to borrow it once, it is bought next. People who continue to borrow the same item repeatedly, iritate me to no end...... and I have stories.....

It all depends on your Usage.
I personally Went for a Electric Driller,Spanner set,Socket Ratchet spanners,Basic toolkits & built on from there.
As said above If you are borrowing a particular tool more than once Go buy it.
Alothough my Favourite Tool is the Leathermans Plier.

Kaddyuk, your toolkit totally depends on what area of maintenance your most involved in, are you hangar or line based ?
If your hangar based for example, I would suggest things such as dividers, marking measuring equip, verniers/mic's, files, grinders cutting disks, grinders, rivet dipper etc etc.
were will you spend most time?
