When landing operations are occuring for runways 22L/R and 27 at BOS, what role does runway 15R/33L play as far as takeoffs and landings are concerned?

Not much unless it's requested for operational/performance considerations.

Quoting 113312 (Reply 1): Not much unless it's requested for operational/performance considerations.
So when these operations do occur in correspondence to 22L/R and 27 landings, is 15R used for takeoffs/landings, or 33L used for takeoffs/landings?

it would depend on the wind. If wind is southerly, 15R, and northerly, 33L. One of the 22's (I think left) is close to being as long, so that might be easier to get approved from ATC if they are already using it for landings.
