DC-10-30 Extra Wing Fairing

Hi all, I've got a question I'm sure you can find an answer too! I noticed today N318FE has an extra fairing on each wingtip with two large lenses pointed inward toward the tail. You can see the fairing in the following pic on the trailing edge of the right wing.

I have surmised that this isn't anything new since it was also present when the aircraft flew for World Airways back in 1982:

It's just the logo light fairing. Some aircraft have them on the top of the horizontal stabilizer, some have them mounted on the wing tip.
