B752 Freighters Cargo Fire Extinguishing System

Any Particular reason why B752 Freighters do not have a Fire Extinguishing System in the Main & Lower Decks like the Pax Version with Fire Extinguisher Bottles.

Instead rely on Elimination of the Fire thru starvation of Oxygen to the fire.Understandably they can do that since it only hold Freight.But there are times when Live Animals are on board too.

True it can be stated that in a Fire situation the Aircraft has Priority to Live Cargo.But Wouldn't Fire Extinguisher bottlesd do a better Job.

What fire extinguishers are installed in the holds of the pax aircraft? I'd bet my money on halon or similar, which also suffocate the fire - and any live animals carried.

In fact, if you make it possible (and allowed) to enter a cargo area in flight, you can no longer have halon extinguishers due to the risk of killing whoever is in there when the extinguishers go off.

Most cargo only aircraft have inadequate fire protection. Just because they don't carry passengers doesn't mean that the crew and any persons in the path of a burning aircraft are not at risk.

Exactly.Then why the Difference for Freighters & Pax Airliners regarding Fire Extinguishing Bottles.Seen similar differences on B752SF & B732SF compared to their Pax brethren.

Yup, halon, at least on UA's pax 757s.
