Hi All
I was doing some research on this subject and came across few advertiestments asking for pilots in India and China. My question is does any one who has these qualifications or higher can apply for these jobs, regardless of the nationality?
Eg: Can a NZ citizen apply for these jobs with CPL/Multi IFR + Degree level qualification?

Airlines that make you pay any time during the interview process are generaly airlines you stay away from.

If you are B737 or B777 rated, Jet is hiring - probably the best company to work for in India right now.
A320 is also in demand from other private airlines - espp Kingfisher.
Rishworth (in NZ) is handling recruiting for quite a few of the carriers in the region.

True.9W is the best option.
B737NG & A320 Experience will be a plus.

That's a pretty wide generalization. I'm currently living in Kansas and pretty much any airline I apply to is going to require me to pay for a ticket to the interview because they don't fly here.
If the airline doesn't fly to your hometown, I can't see a way for them to arrange and pay for your travel. Airlines have rarely paid for people to travel to an interview from a city they don't serve.

Well the point is that they still pay for your ticket if possible.

Ive heard some about Kingfisher. Theres also another group starting wtih CRJ's ive heard about from Bombardier, but Id stear clear of Indian airlines. Hiring captains with that low mins and f/o's with basically no time...just not safe.

Hi all
You guys have been very helpful with the info. I am so greatful. I will try my best to contact Rishworth and get some more info
Quoting Scoliodon (Reply 2): Air Deccan is recruiting pilots from other countries due to lack of pilots here.
Hei, thanks for the info, I tried the web site, but failed to get any thing out from there. I will be only getting the CPL,Multi IFR and about 250 hrs in total. So I think even if they hire, they will bond me for some time. But surely, I love living in India as I have south asian origin anyways.

I can get a type rating in A320/B737 (Simulator) from ANZ at a great expense, but I will not have many hrs on the type, So would the airline will consider that?

Apart from 9W,Kingfisher [IT] seems one of the Favourites at the Moment.
I could get you introduced to a Friend that flies for them Maybe he could provide you some more details.
About Work permit. There are the normal Security clearences that are needed,More stricter these days thanks to the Threat situation. However it depends on The Airline needs.Currently the Demand is for A320 & B737 Commanders.
My personal opinion is that IT is a good Airline. http://www.flykingfisher.com/

This is actually a big pull for many military pilots who are having a hard time getting into the American industry here. A lot of other nations, specifically ones in Asia, are hiring with good incentive packages to relocate.
I know several guys who have taken those offers and are quite happy. Usually military families are used to moving around, so going somewhere else isn't too big of a deal. Some don't like it, but most seem to be happy.

Quoting DIJKKIJK (Reply 20): Kingfisher reminds me of Damania Airways. I've flown them once and they were fabulous.
I hope they don't go the same way Damania Air did.
You will be happy to know that Pervez Damania (the man with the reverse Midas touch) is now associated with Kingfisher after f...ing up things at his own airline and S2.

Amazing how these top brass folks get jobs so eaisly from one Airline to another even after they ask for a hefty salary too.
What makes the demand. Is it their contacts.
