Yesterday I went to NAS Oceana to go see the last F-14 fly by, and I was to late, but I did see an USAF E-3 Sentry with it's TF33-100 running. I thought ok I missed the last F-14 fly by but at lest I get to hear a Sentry at take off, but when it took off, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I have herd MD-80 that was louder. This is not something I expect from a TF33 powered plane, so do E-3 Sentry's have hush kit's.

The RAF's, AdA's and RSAAF's E-3s are fitted with CFM56 engines. The Saudi E-3 had USAF markings prior to delivery a long time ago. But a re-engined USAF Sentry would be very obviously different - if ever there was such a creature.
