ALS Abbreviations M J X Etc

Posted (6 years 7 months 3 weeks 1 day 1 hour ago) and read 999 times:

I'm having trouble working out the ?US abbreviations for lighting, found at worldaerodata.com and supplied from DAFIF.

In particular - approach lighting systems, which appear to have a single letter code.... eg M J X S A or others.
Also VA and BO have stumped me totally! Unless VA is a type of VASI...?

To put it in context:

NADI INTERNATIONAL:

Runway 02:
LIRL
REIL
A
PAPI

RNZAF WHENUAPAI:

Runway 03:
HIRL
BO
VA

FUA'AMOTU INTERNATIONAL:

Runway 11:
LIRL
REIL
M
VA

Thanks in advance to anyone who can supply a list (been trawling US airport abbreviation lists for some time) or just tell me what the above means!

OK...I can only give you a few that i know off the top of my head:

LIRL...Low intensity runway edge lights
HIRL...High intensity runway edge lights
REIL...Runday end identifier lights
PAPI...Precision approach path indicator

As for the one and two identifiers....i need to look those up.
