Has BMW made any other Turbofans besides the one that powers the 717?

Yes. They make the BR710 a version of the BR715 (the engine that powers the 717). The BR710 is the engine that powers the Gulfstream GV, GV-SP and Bombardier Global Express. A version of the BR710 is also used on the British Nimrods.

BMW also had something to do with turbojets and the Nazi's in the latter part of WWII.
